Ashwood has specialised in conifers for over 40 years, and we know of no other garden centre in the U.K which offers such a comprehensive selection of conifers. We have a particular speciality in dwarf and slow growing varieties, many of which are rare or 'hard to find'. A good many of our conifers are grown here on the the nursery but we also buy from some of the best wholesale specialist growers in the U.K and Holland. We are passionate about the use of conifers in the garden and believe there is a conifer to suit every garden, no matter how small. They are indispensable for providing form, structure, colour and interest all year round and bringing harmony to any planting scheme. If chosen carefully they can be just as effective in a modern setting as in a more traditional scheme. If possible, do come and visit us and we are sure you will be impressed with our conifer sales area and the expert advice which is always freely available. You can also stroll through our Nursery Show Garden to see our wonderful collection of mature conifers. If you are able to visit on 'John’s Private Garden' open days you will see how the nursery owner John Massey has used conifers in his own private garden to stunning effect. The conifers listed are subject to availability and some are seasonal so do please check with us before setting off on your journey.
