About Our Garden Shop

Our garden shop has a bright modern layout whilst still keeping the welcoming feel of a traditional garden shop. We offer a very friendly service and advice is always freely available from our staff who have years of experience in all aspects of gardening. We do hope you will come and visit us and see for yourself.

  • We are major stockists of Thompson and Morgan’s, Sutton’s, Johnson’s and Robinson’s seeds. For the vegetable grower we offer over 30 varieties of seed potatoes from January to March, plus a good selection of onions, shallots etc.
  • In season you will find a superb choice of bulbs: in autumn these include familiar favourites such as narcissi, tulips, hyacinths and crocus as well as more unusual varieties, while in early spring there are begonias, lilies, dahlia tubers and gladioli.
  • We have a comprehensive range of fertilisers, lawn treatments, insecticides and fungicides. Top quality composts are mixed on site including John Innes, our own brand 'Supagro' for potting and seed, as well as special mixes for alpines, cacti and bulbs. Proprietary brands of compost, bark and soil improvers are always well represented.
  • There is a wide variety of gardening sundries and an impressive choice of gardening tools including Wolf, Fiskars, Joseph Bentley and Yeoman. With younger gardeners in mind we offer a range of tools for children. We are major stockists of CJ Wild Bird Food and bird enthusiasts will find feeders, nest boxes, bird tables and bird houses.
  • Our book department has hundreds of titles on gardening and related subjects: many specialized interests are catered for, plus many of the classics. A good selection of wooden and metal furniture is attractively displayed and there is a charming ‘shop within a shop’ selling silk flowers, floral arrangements, ribbons and florists sundries.
  • National Garden Gift Vouchers are sold and exchanged.
