L. 'Ashwood Pearl' ( L. cotyledon hybrid x L. longipetala )A choice seedling which has proved to be an excellent plant and very much admired. Semi-deciduous, the pearly-white flowers are produced in great profusion throughout the summer. Excellent for the alpine house. 15cm (6ins). L. 'Rose Gem'This Ashwood Hybrid is similar in habit to Pinkie, but much deeper in colour. Rose pink veined flowers above leafy rosettes, with several flushes of bloom each season. 15cm (6ins). L. 'White Splendour'A pure white form of L. Rose Splendour with large funnel-shaped flowers. Grow cool to keep stems sturdy as flowering can be profuse. 25cm (10ins). L. cotyledon 'Brannan Bar'This variety replaces L. Rose Splendour in this catalogue. The flowers are just as large and a good clear rose pink. The stems however are much stronger and held erect with no tendency to 'flop' under the weight of the blooms. Overall a much better plant. 20cm (8ins). L. 'Ashwood Ruby'A really top quality red Lewisia bred at Ashwood. Free-flowering over a long period, the plants are vigorous and yet compact. the richest colour is achieved when grown very cool. Awarded a Certificate of Merit at the AGS Show in Nottingham in 1991.( Please note - only plants grown from cuttings carry the 'Ashwood Ruby' label. Seedlings produced from these plants should NOT be so labelled ). 23cm (9ins)
